Eugenio Finardi's return despite illness: "I'm almost deaf because of tinnitus"

Eugenio Finardi doesn't hear music well . He himself stated this on the occasion of the release of his twentieth album of unreleased material , 50 years after his first .
Hearing loss and tinnitusHearing loss and tinnitus, Finardi explains to Corriere della Sera , “are the sum of aging, of a trauma, because I found myself close to an explosion, and in general of 50 years of drums behind me : they kill you, it happens to many, see Pete Townshend. But now I can compose music without hearing it. A piece like “Onde di probabili”, from the album, was born completely theoretical, writing the notes and inserting them into the PC without any keyboard”.
However, on the tour that will start on May 16th he will have no problems: "I have two speakers in front. And I will have an electronic drum kit because the volume of the acoustic instrument makes my head spin and deafens me. The present offers tools that allow you to approach music in a different way, with excellent results".
A final album of unreleased material to celebrate 50 years of career could only be called 'Tutto' because "at 72 years old - says Eugenio Finardi, presenting his twentieth work of unreleased material - you start to think about everything that matters and that happens to you, you are already on the third round of the carousel and you understand that you are a tiny grain of an immense dance of which there is the drive to understand the meaning".
The album "talks about everything: from quantum physics, to the future, to children. It contains samples and references of a whole life."
